Meet Reina

Welcome. I am so glad you are here. Whether you are seeking therapy, looking for clinical supervision, or listening to The Creative Psychotherapist podcast, my goal is the same: to help you find clarity, confidence, and creative growth.

My work sits at the intersection of arts and health. As a Board Certified Art Therapist, Art Therapy Certified Supervisor, EMDRIA Approved EMDR Trained Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I believe that we all have an innate capacity to heal and grow—sometimes, we just need the right creative tools and a safe space to navigate that process.

My Approach: Humanistic, Pragmatic, and Creative

My philosophy is rooted in humanistic traditions. I believe in an inclusive, client-centered worldview that honors your unique experiences. My approach is pragmatic and grounded; I don't believe in "one-size-fits-all" solutions. Whether I am sitting with a client, mentoring a new therapist, or hosting a guest on my podcast, I draw on a wealth of experience to help navigate complex challenges with flexibility, grace, and support.

How I Work With You:
As a Clinician

My clinical practice focuses on empowering individuals to explore their inner world through art and narrative reflection. I provide a secure environment where you can externalize your thoughts, process deep-seated emotions, and build a treatment plan that aligns with your specific goals. While my capacity for individual clinical work is limited, I am deeply committed to the growth of every client I serve at Florida Art Therapy Services.

How I Work With You:As an Educator and Professional Consultant

I am passionate about raising the standard of care in our field. Through my professional consultations and Qualified Supervisor (QS) training, I help practitioners, educators, and scholars navigate the complexities of professional identity. I love helping clinicians find their niche and make a meaningful impact while feeling confident in their own unique ideas. My trainings are designed to be practical, accessible, and—most importantly—engaging.

How I Work With You:As Your Podcast Host

Through The Creative Psychotherapist podcast, I strive to amplify the voices of experts in our field and provide an essential resource for navigating the intersection of mental health advocacy, clinical excellence, and business development. It is my way of giving back to the community that has given so much to me.

How I Work With You:A Little More About Me

When I’m not in the office or behind the microphone, I am likely at home. I am a self-proclaimed homebody who finds grounding in the kitchen—for me, cooking is just another form of creative expression, and I love turning healthy ingredients into something nourishing and delicious.

I am an avid learner and traveler. Whether I’m listening to an audiobook or exploring a new culture internationally, I am always seeking new experiences to keep life fresh. I love working with clay and mixed media—there is something about blending textures, shapes, and colors that speaks to the dynamic nature of being human.

I’m also a firm believer in not taking life too seriously; you might catch me singing karaoke, even if I’m not the best at it. For me, it’s about the joy of trying and the courage to show up as I am.

Are you ready to connect?

Whether you’re interested in professional supervision, joining a training, or just listening along with the podcast, I invite you to reach out. Let’s explore how we can help you align your vision with your future goals.
