Meet Amy

Education

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Miami University. I earned a Master’s Degree in Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Education from Ursuline College. I have also received a Social Thinking™ Clinical Training Level 1 Certificate of Attendance. My extensive and varied educational background has afforded me an excellent perspective on understanding how academic and school issues impact a child’s well-being and an adult’s self-concept and success.

Approach

I specialize in the treatment of children, adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities and social skill deficits. Cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems approaches are frequently utilized. I provide individual therapy, behavior modification, parent guidance/training, family therapy and group therapy utilizing a multi-systemic approach to treatment, incorporating the influence of individual, family and school environment. By creating achievable goals together and working in a safe and supportive environment, we are able to create positive experiences for both children and parents.
