Chelsea Darling MA, ATR-P, NCC, is a National Certified Counselor, Florida Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, EMDRIA Approved EMDR Therapist, and Art Therapist. She holds a master’s degree in mental health counseling and art therapy from Caldwell University. Chelsea has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and groups experiencing a broad range of mental health issues and concerns. Some of her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, loss, life transitions, among others. Chelsea has also completed specialized training in Trauma-Focused CBT and crisis intervention. She seeks to provide a safe and culturally informed space for healing and is committed to active allyship, advocacy, and activism.
Chelsea describes her style of therapy as holistic with elements of client-centered and cognitive behavioral therapies, mindfulness, and art therapy. Integrating psychotherapy and creative expression can provide an insightful, effective, and refreshing experience in therapy. The creative process, inherent in everyone, can be used as a meaningful tool to help develop personal insight, express feelings, relieve stress, and look at things from a new perspective. Overall, Chelsea focuses on inner strength and self-exploration while developing a strong therapeutic alliance and providing a nonjudgmental environment for healing to transpire.
