Monika graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods-College with her masters in Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling in 2016, and obtained her Provisional Art Therapy Registration with the Art Therapy Credentials Board in May of 2017. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2009 from Boston University with a BFA in painting and minor in printmaking. Originally born in Torun, Poland, Monika is bi-lingual in Polish and English. She is the co-owner, co-founder and artist of a local performance fishing apparel company called The Reel Chase®. Prior to being a counselor at Florida Art Therapy, Monika worked as a special needs teacher and school counselor. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults with Autism, ADHD/ADD, anxiety, depression, and grief as well as substance use in adults. She employs a client centered approach utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectical-Behavioral, and Eclectic theoretical platforms. Monika is available for individual and group sessions. She facilitates the Adolescent Girls Art Therapy Group, Women's Empowerment Group, and Parenting the Love & Logic Way® Workshop.
